WWE SummerSlam 2024 Match Review with Star Rating featuring Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio

Liv Morgan Makes WrestleMania Decision After Emotional Moment on WWE Raw

Liv Morgan has been the main woman in WWE ever since she won the 2026 Royal Rumble. For the past few weeks, she’s cycled between Raw and SmackDown, collecting data for who she might choose to face at WrestleMania 42. On Monday night, Morgan announced she was ready to make her decision, but not without a little theatrics.

Liv Morgan Chooses Stephanie Vaquer After Feigning Vulnerability

Arm in arm with Dominik Mysterio, Liv Morgan made her entrance on Raw. She was more subdued, however, and seemingly not like her usual self. As Mysterio introduced her, she remained quiet. Mysterio said Morgan was ready to make her decision and called both Stephanie Vaquer and Jade Cargill to the ring. But before that, commentary re-aired part of the video package from the prior week, where Morgan seemed visibly shaken up by Vaquer’s words. Morgan shied behind Mysterio as Vaquer came out and played with his hair as Cargill made her entrance. For once, the confident and cocky Liv Morgan seemed like a shell of herself. She seemed legitimately nervous about her decision and the two women standing in the ring with her.

Turns out, though, it was all a brilliant act on Morgan’s part.

She began by addressing Vaquer and apologizing to her. Liv Morgan said she didn’t know Vaquer’s story and how hard she worked just to get to WWE. All the while, Morgan had all the best trainers and doctors and resources, and yet still felt sorry for herself. She said Vaquer’s words really humbled her and made her feel a way she never does: vulnerable. Morgan didn’t realize how selfish or privileged she had been, so for that, she was sorry. She was sorry for judging Vaquer because now she knows that everything she has gone through is why she is the champion she is today. That being said…Liv Morgan turns to Cargill, but at this point, it’s pretty clear it’s a misdirect. Sure enough, Morgan turns around and blindsides Vaquer with the mic before pouncing on her WrestleMania opponent. Cargill just shrugs and leaves the ring as Morgan continues attacking Vaquer. She hits Oblivion, and Mysterio hands her the title belt. Liv Morgan holds it high as the commentators note this could be foreshadowing the scene we see at WrestleMania 42.
