Every WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Match, Ranked

The Elimination Chamber match has become one of the most important matches in WWE history. With risk comes reward by competing in this grueling match. A championship match or a number one contender’s match to compete for a world championship at WrestleMania has been at stake in Elimination Chamber matches.

However, the WWE Championship is the biggest prize in the industry, and only 25% of Elimination Chamber matches have had the coveted WWE Championship on the line.

Surprisingly, it wasn’t until 2006 that the WWE Championship featured in the Elimination Chamber match for the first time. 2022 was the most recent time that the WWE Championship was defended in a Chamber. Nevertheless, the nine Elimination Chamber matches in WWE history were a mixture of drama. However, others failed to live up to the expectation.

9. Bobby Lashley vs. Brock Lesnar vs. Riddle vs. Austin Theory vs. AJ Styles vs. Seth Rollins (Elimination Chamber 2022)

The WWE Championship was a yo-yo at the start of 2022, with the title exchanging between Big E, Brock Lesnar, and Bobby Lashley at Day 1 and the Royal Rumble. Nevertheless, Lashley carried a legitimate injury in his WWE Championship title defense, and he was written out of the match when Rollins buckle-bombed Theory through the pod.

This Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Championship belonged to one man. Lesnar won the 2022 men’s Royal Rumble match, but dropped the title to Lashley at the Royal Rumble. However, the Beast Incarnate, hellbent on regaining the title, was on a rampage. He eliminated Rollins, Riddle, Styles, and Theory in a dominant performance to win his seventh WWE Championship and 10th WWE World Championship overall.

8. CM Punk vs. The Miz vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Chris Jericho vs. R-Truth vs. Dolph Ziggler (Elimination Chamber 2012)

Chris Jericho was one of the main threats to CM Punk’s WWE Championship at Elimination Chamber 2012. As soon as Jericho was ruled out of the equation, there was a sense of inevitability that the Straight Edge Savior was going to retain the WWE Championship. Nevertheless, Punk and his former tag team championship-winning partner, Kofi Kingston, got things underway.

Punk and The Miz were the final two competitors, going back and forth. Ultimately, Punk won a Chamber match for the first time by starting the match and retaining the WWE Championship after finishing Miz off with the GTS.
