TNA Feast or Fired Predictions: Who Won What?

On TNA Thursday Night iMPACT on AMC, live from Albuquerque, NM, the Feast or Fired match made its comeback. Trey Miguel, Steve Maclin, Eric Young, and Eddie Edwards each grabbed one of the four briefcases. The question now is: what is in each briefcase? A World Championship contract? A X-Division Championship contract? An International Championship contract? Or the infamous Pink Slip, meaning “you’re fired?”

It was involuntarily revealed that Eddie Edwards won the World Championship contract. Also, Trey Miguel reportedly won the International Championship contract. So, Steve Maclin and Eric Young won the X-Division Championship contract, or got fired.  Let’s take a look at what they are most likely to have won.

TNA Xplosion and Thursday Night iMPACT Spoilers (01/22-23/26) – Some Cases Opened

Steve Maclin

Steve Maclin is a former World Champion and 2-time International Champion. At 38, his 5-year run with TNA Wrestling has been extremely fruitful.  Steve Maclin reportedly signed a contract extension with the company. The length of the deal is unknown. His being fired would then not make sense.

In his first year with TNA, he competed multiple times for the X-Division Championship, without ever being able to win it. Additionally, the X-Division Championship, via Option C, is a platform for the TNA World Championship.

Maclin debuted in TNA back in June 2021, starting in the X-Division. He made his way into the World title picture in 2023. Maclin won the vacant title at TNA Rebellion, holding it for just two months.

He became the TNA International Champion, winning the brand new title at April 2025’s Unbreakable. Maclin lost it to Frankie Kazarian five months later. His second reign lasted two months, ending at last December’s Final Resolution.

Eric Young

The World Class Maniac turned TNA “Cleanser” is a former 2-time World Champion and one-time X-Division Champion. His current “Cleanse” attitude has not been working perfectly on TV. At 46, Eric Young is a TNA Legend. He has a lot to teach young talents, and he would be perfect in a backstage/production role. Then, as he stated in 2023, “I can’t do this forever, and I’m hoping to now work when I’m 55.”

In 2024, EY said that he could still be working with WWE, despite the debacle of his 2022 comeback. He has remained good friends with Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque. “I still talk to Hunter to this day. We’re still buddies. I still have utmost respect for him and 95 percent of the people who work there,” he then said.

As Young is reportedly wrestling without a contract, firing him is as easy as making him come back. In 2022, Eric Young wrapped up with TNA/ IMPACT Wrestling when he was written off the show by way of being ‘stabbed’ by Cody Deaner. Young miraculously “resurrected” at TNA Slammiversary 2023.

In fact, everything is possible for Young, in TNA or in WWE. He could appear at the WWE Royal Rumble on Saturday night, or become a WWE producer, as Petey Williams or Abyss did before. He can stay at “home,” in TNA Wrestling, wrestling, or producing. That may be one of the reasons why Eric Young could be the one who would find the Pink Slip in his briefcase. The World Class Maniac is a gambler. He knows how to bet on himself more than anyone.

So, Feast or Fired, we’ll find out about what’s next for Young and Maclin on Thursday Night iMPACT.
