2. Brock Lesnar – 2003
By the time the 2003 Royal Rumble rolled around, Brock Lesnar already had a WWE Championship reign to his name. However, the youngest WWE Champion in history clashed with Big Show, the man who beat him for the WWE Championship at Survivor Series 2002 in a qualifying match at the ’03 Rumble.
Nevertheless, Lesnar secured his spot in the 2003 Royal Rumble match by defeating the former two-time WWE Champion.
Lesnar joined the fray in the 2003 Royal Rumble match as the 29th entrant. However, Lesnar’s debut outing in a Royal Rumble match was steady. The Next Big Thing and his fellow SmackDown colleague, The Undertaker, were the final two competitors. Neither man prevailed in a previous Royal Rumble match, so a first-time winner was guaranteed.
Their tussles over the WWE Championship in the fall of 2002 were off the charts. Ultimately, the bragging rights belonged to Lesnar, who won the Royal Rumble match for the first time and became the youngest person to win the Rumble at 25.
