Attitude Era: Every WWE Tag Team Championship Match at the Royal Rumble, Ranked

#1: Edge & Christian vs. Dudley Boyz (Royal Rumble 2001)

Throughout 2000, Edge and Christian took over the tag team division by winning back-to-back TLC matches involving Dudley Boyz and Hardy Boyz. Since Edge and Christian were WWE Tag Team Champions for most of 2000, they planned to continue their dominance in 2001.

On the RAW before the 2001 Royal Rumble event, Edge and Christian attacked Dudley Boyz from behind, hitting both men with chair shots to the head. This led to the Dudley Boyz having one focus in mind, and that was to become WWE Tag Team Champions once again. The match began with so much momentum from both teams.

The crowd was engaged from start to finish. This match was unique and fun for the fans to see, because for once, this was a standard match that didn’t involve tables, ladders, or chairs. In the end, Dudley Boyz prevailed by beating Edge and Christian to become new champions.
