NXT Star Called Up to WWE SmackDown?

On this week’s 2026 New Year’s edition of WWE SmackDown, we see SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis speaking with a very big star from NXT. This star turned out to be none other than the mastodon, Jordynne Grace. Aldis and Grace were talking shop before they were so rudely interrupted by the reigning, but not at all defending, Women’s United States Champion, Chelsea Green.

Nick introduced Jordynne Grace as a “possible addition to SmackDown,” before Green would shrug him off to talk about herself, as per usual. Green wanted no part of defending the Women’s U.S. Title, but Aldis threatened her that if she didn’t, he would strip her of the belt. Grace would chime in that Aldis had a lot of decisions to make on his brand.

If Nick Aldis can pull this deal off, he would be making an incredibly huge, literally and business-wise, heist. Grace is a former three-time TNA Knockouts Champion, as well as the first-ever Knockouts Triple Crown Winner. Grace has run roughshod over the NXT Women’s Division, and Jordynne Grace is more than ready to tear it up on the main roster, specifically on Friday Nights.
