Last night on WWE NXT, the company revealed the NXT 2025 Year-End Awards winners. As we all know, last week’s and this week’s NXT episodes were taped due to the holiday season. The only thing that couldn’t be taped was the Awards’ winners, as the votes just opened when the shows were taped on December 17.

The Year-End Awards are a regular tradition for NXT that dates back to 2015. Last week, TNA Wrestling revealed the TNA 2025 Year-End Awards winners. If some NXT talents were nominated, Kelani Jordan or Trick Williams didn’t steal the TNA fans’ hearts. However, Joe Hendry vs. Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41 won the 2025 Crossover Moment of the Year.
Here is the complete list of winners for this year’s edition. Even if I have turned into an NXTNA “specialist” pretty recently, I will try myself at the game.
Male Superstar of the Year: Je’Von Evans
At least three deserved the award. Je’Von Evans, Ethan Page, and Oba Femi just made 2025 a magic year, each in his own way. The fans preferred the Young OG to the Ruler or Mr. All Ego. Evans couldn’t believe it, and neither could I. Femi indeed won the Male Superstar and Match of the Year in 2024.
Despite not winning a title this year, Evans prevailed due to his consistency and uniqueness. At only 21, he bounced through the whole year, accumulating title chances on NXT and TNA, teaming up with Leon Slater on WWE and NXT. All of us saw Femi’s vignettes on RAW or SmackDown; a main-roster call seems to be coming for The Ruler. Same for Trick Williams.
Even if Evans competed on RAW and WWE Saturday Night Main Event XLII recently, he still has a lot of things to say in NXT. Not to forget TNA Wrestling, because a rematch of the TNA Bound For Glory X-Division Championship bout has to take place. If Leon Slater or Evans were the NXT Champion, that match would be iconic. As Evans said, 2026 will be “real bouncy.”

Tag Team of the Year: ZaRuca
Making a choice was not easy. Maybe because I’m a bit of an NXT rookie, I didn’t have all the elements to make the right one. However, DarkState and ZaRuca have highlighted my rookie time. Despite all the ups and downs in their relationship over the last few months, I would have chosen ZaRuca. That’s exactly what the fans did. “No matter what we go through, we are the strongest tag-team in NXT, men or women, and possibly in WWE,” said Zaria.
Sol Ruca epitomizes athleticism and innovation, as John Cena rightfully said when he picked her for the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge. Zaria is pretty much a Female Beast (that makes more sense when you know her entrance music is Killer Kross’ TNA theme). The Adelaide Powerhouse and the longest-reigning WWE/NXT Women’s Double Champion in history are more than team partners; they are friends, with so much more to say or show on NXT.

Match of the Year: Oba Femi vs. Trick Williams vs. Je’Von Evans (Stand & Deliver)
I confess I haven’t watched this match. Something that won’t happen anymore as France officially enters the Netflix era tomorrow. The fans made a choice, and I can only respect it.
