Who’s Next for Kris Statlander?
Kris Statlander has supplemented herself as a legitimate AEW World Champion. It wasn’t an easy task to follow “Timeless” Toni Storm, and Statlander has worked hard to make her title reign legitimate. Now the question is: Who is the next person to take on the Alien?
It won’t be Mercedes — for reasons mentioned above —and it won’t be Willow either (yet). Could this be the return of the dentist? Britt Baker is still signed with AEW, and Tony Khan has stated he has been looking for the best time to bring her back to the company. This could be the perfect opportunity for Kris Statlander vs. Britt Baker.
If it’s not Baker, it might be time to give the Death Rider, Marina Shafir, a shot at the title. It could be the perfect time to reward Shafir for the hard work she has done in not only the Death Rider’s storyline, but in improving her skills as well.
