Penta vs Solo Sikoa match graphic where Penta suffered an injury

Penta Returns to Raw, Aiding Rey Mysterio Against the Vision

Just over a month ago, Penta suffered what looked to be a devastating injury in his Last Time is Now tournament match against Solo Sikoa. While the shoulder injury did cause Penta to lose his opportunity to advance in the tournament as well as delay a planned Lucha Brothers reunion in AAA, it seems the extent of the damage was not as bad as initially thought. Because on December 29, the last Raw of 2025, Penta made his shocking return to aid Rey Mysterio in a beatdown from Austin Theory and Logan Paul.

Mysterio faced Theory in singles action, where Paul cornered his new Vision teammate. CM Punk offered backup to his longtime friend, but Mysterio was coy as he told the champ Paul Heyman wasn’t the only one who could call in some favors. Sure enough, Mysterio’s favor was revealed a bit later. With Mysterio in position to defeat Theory, Paul got the match thrown out and joined Theory in a post-match beatdown. It was two on one until Penta, in street clothes, ran out from the back to take down both young stars and help Punk set Paul up for a 619. The babyfaces stood tall as Mysterio and Penta hugged.

Penta’s return is great for WWE, as the star was having a fantastic first year with WWE. He seems poised to be on Raw’s Netflix anniversary show next Monday, which marks his own milestone with the company. And more than that, with Penta healed up, it looks like the much-awaited Lucha Brothers WWE/AAA reunion will happen sometime in 2026.
