Penta vs Solo Sikoa match graphic where Penta suffered an injury

Penta Suffers Devastating Injury on Raw, Altering Last Time is Now Tournament and AAA Plans

The Last Time is Now tournament has been a fantastic showcase of stars both old and new, competing for the right to take on John Cena in his final match in WWE. Unfortunately, the tournament has also contributed to some casualties, the latest of which occurred on Raw as Penta suffered a devastating injury blow to the rest of his year and beyond.

Penta Suffers Injury Against Solo Sikoa

Penta was in action against Solo Sikoa on Monday. Early on in the match, Penta looked to execute a move on the outside to Sikoa but he didn’t get all of it and landed awkwardly. Penta tried to continue but he was moving gingerly and Alicia Taylor announced soon after that Penta was unable to continue. It is believed that Penta suffered a shoulder injury, not unlike the one that has kept Liv Morgan out of action for several months.

It is unknown if Penta would have advanced in the Last Time is Now tournament but the Mexican superstar was booked for an upcoming AAA show, which would have seen him team with his brother Rey Fenix against Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano. This would have been for the first time since both came under the WWE umbrella (April 2025) that the brothers would have wrestled as a team. Many fans have been clamoring for WWE to reunite the former Lucha Brothers even as Fenix is doing some great work on SmackDown with a variety of different tag partners and Penta has been positioned as a top singles star since he arrived in WWE in January of this year.

It’s unfortunate to see Penta’s rookie year in WWE cut down a month early. We offer best wishes to Penta for a speedy injury recovery and return in 2026.
