The WWE and TNA Wrestling logos as the NXT and TNA partnership reach its first year

NXT/TNA Partnership: Nearly a Year After, Who Made The Most of The Opportunity?

3- Attractivity – Advantage TNA

After discussing the benefits of the partnership for the talents, let’s talk about the company. Between the shows’ attendance records and a new TV deal, TNA Wrestling is the big winner. With Slammiversary and Bound For Glory, TNA broke some old records. The Slammiversary crowd of 7,623 was the largest-ever at a TNA show in North America in the company’s 23-year history. The record was broken three months later with 7,794 people at TNA Bound For Glory.

TNA President Carlos Silva said, “I am so proud of TNA Wrestling – the wrestlers, staff, crew, fans, and everyone else. We wanted to break the attendance record. Well, we did that with, truly, a record-breaking night in company history. The BFG matches were amazing, and the electricity inside the Tsongas Center was incredible.” I tend to think NXT talents helped a bit, but the Hardys vs Team 3D’s One Last Table Match was enough to sell out a show.

Despite some fake news on the end of the partnership, TNA President Carlos Silva acknowledged on Busted Open Radio that the partnership was a selling point for AMC.

“Absolutely, it’s a big part of helping us get this deal. It’s a big part of now being able to almost give back a little and provide a big platform for some of those superstars as well. And so, absolutely. The storylines, the things we’re doing together, they’re just going to continue to grow into 2026. The last 5-6 months have been awesome, and I think there’s more to come. 2026 is just going to build off of that and be even bigger.”

The TNA Wrestling deal with AMC is a true game-changer. The company will be aired in front of a potential 60 million cable homes. This move would be the largest and most high-profile platform TNA programming has appeared on since their exit from Spike TV at the end of 2014.

The French Nygma, as she loves to call herself, has been a wrestling writer and editor for nearly a decade for SteelChair Magazine/Wrestling SC, TWM and Distortion Media. She has interviewed hundreds of wrestlers from WWE, MLW, TNA, NXT, AEW, and many more promotions. The Nygma is now the new “Authority” on TNA Wrestling and NXT for Last Word on Pro Wrestling.
