Despite all their rage, last night on TNA iMPACT, the members of Team TNA and Team NXT were just rats in a cage. A 5-on-5 NXT vs TNA Steel Cage match could and should have stopped the companies’ rogue war. But was it really a war, or just a battle hiding another battle? In fact, when is the war really over?
The TNA iMPACT preview was clear. With three big matches and a segment announced, this episode was meant to be a strong one. A new #1 contender for the TNA World Championship and the NXT vs TNA Steel Cage match will set the tone for an already exciting upcoming 2026. Let’s Nygma-dive into the TNA iMPACT results, as there are some things to say about it (as always).

Who Said Beginner’s Luck?
Before the match, Moose congratulated Cedric Alexander for his X-Division Championship opportunity. He also reminded him that he never invoked his rematch clause when he lost to Slater at TNA Slammiversary 2025. Both men participated in the 20-Man Battle Royal to determine the No. 1 Contender to TNA World Champion Frankie Kazarian on January 1, 2026. Kazarian joined Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt on commentary.
Moose and Cedric Alexander argued with each other, allowing Eric Young to clothesline them both over the top rope for a double elimination. The final three were Eric Young, Bear Bronson, and Ryan Nemeth. Bronson tossed Nemeth over the top, then countered a Piledriver to last eliminate Young, winning the Battle Royal. TNA newcomer Bear Bronson has earned a TNA World Championship match against Frankie Kazarian. Nygma says: I told you… As long as Mike Santana has a rematch scheduled at TNA Genesis 2026.
