Gunther Says John Cena Fans Secretly Like Him But Won’t Admit It

Gunther has been making headlines ever since his December 13 match against John Cena. This was the biggest fight of Gunther’s career so far. Not only did he get to work with The Cenation Leader, but he also became one of the only few wrestlers to even make him tap out.

The Ring General recently talked about his match in an interview, and here’s what he said.

Gunther Speaks On John Cena’s Fans Will Eventually Become His Fans

Speaking on TMZ’s Inside The Ring podcast, host Branson Quirke asked Gunther if John Cena fans, who are upset right now because he ended his career, will eventually become his fans. Gunther responded:

“Yeah. Deep down, I think they all appreciate and like me and respect me. [They are] just way too proud to show it. I think that’s the issue.”

When Gunther made Cena tap out on Saturday Night’s Main Event, the arena fell silent. Fans were shocked by this ending, because a lot of them thought Cena would end his career with one final win.
