There’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that John Cena was one of the best of his generation when it came to cutting promos. He may not have been as electrifying as The Rock or as badass as Stone Cold Steve Austin on the microphone, but he could hang with any of his peers in a battle of words.
Who could ever forget Cena’s promos with The Rock in 2011-13? What about his infamous segment with Roman Reigns in 2017? Or him coming up with creative rap disses as the Doctor of Thuganomics in the early 2000s? John Cena was great on the mic.
