While many wrestling fans and critics state that WrestleMania 17 is the greatest WrestleMania of all time, there’s a lot of love for WrestleMania 19. The card at WrestleMania 19 was stacked from top to bottom. One of the featured matches is Jericho squaring off with his idol, Shawn Michaels.
The four-time WWE world champion competed in his first WrestleMania match in five years. Hat’s off to the first-ever Undisputed WWE Champion for being trusted in this position.
Jericho and Michaels told an excellent story, and their match had fans fully invested. The atmosphere was electric, and Jericho countered Sweet Chin Music with the Walls of Jericho. Jericho was disappointed that he couldn’t put Michaels away.
However, Jericho was desperate to beat his idol, but he failed as Michaels sent Jericho back to the drawing board with the all-important victory. Afterward, Jericho failed to be graceful in defeat and took advantage of Michaels’ guard down to attack him.
