As we roll into a new week, it will be hard to forget all of the action that occurred this past Saturday at NXT Deadline. The night ended with a new NXT Champion and number one contenders for both the women’s and men’s NXT Championship.
The one and only Tony D’Angelo made his return and made a statement as he stood tall against the new, two-time NXT Champion, Oba Femi. Let’s look at what we can now expect to see moving forward, now that NXT Deadline has concluded.
Can ZaRuca Continue?
The friendship of Zaria and Sol Ruca appears to be very rocky as of late. The women have been having various disagreements, resulting in the loss of championships and championship opportunities.

During the NXT Deadline, a call was shown between Ruca and Zaria, in which they agreed that this Tuesday they need to discuss the differences they have been having. Will this conversation explain the spear that Ruca dodged from Zaria the week prior? Or the arguments that have been occurring?
It seems as if Zaria is upset with Ruca’s quick success. Now that Sol Ruca is going to Saturday Night Main Event on December 13 to face Bayley, will that be the final straw for Zaria? This also comes right after Sol Ruca was hand-picked by John Cena to compete in the Iron Survivor match at Deadline. Is the success of Sol Ruca too much for Zaria to handle?
A Glamorous Open Challenge
While on the topic of John Cena, the Women’s North American Champion wants to take a page out of his book and conduct an open challenge this Tuesday. Blake Monroe was granted this by Ava, the NXT General Manager. But who do you think will accept this open challenge?
The last time and only time that Blake Monroe had defended the North American Championship was at NXT Gold Rush against Sol Ruca, where Zaria threw in the towel for Ruca. Now, Monroe will be at a disadvantage because she does not know her opponent. Will she be able to retain the championship against this mystery opponent?
