#3: John Cena vs. Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels: WWE Championship Triple Threat Match (Survivor Series 2009)
John Cena has a long history with both Triple H and Shawn Michaels. Defeating both of these Hall of Famers at back-to-back WrestleManias, both members of D-Generation X had something to prove, which was taking the WWE Championship off Cena’s hands.
At the beginning of the match, Shawn Michaels shocked the fans by hitting a Sweet Chin Music to Triple H. Shawn showed that it was more about the title than friendship. It also put Cena to a greater advantage as he officially felt it was every man for themself.
Even though Michaels tried removing Triple H from the equation, it still wasn’t enough to win and become champion. Per usual, Cena prevailed against the odds by pinning Triple H to retain his WWE Title.
