Saturday night, AEW Full Gear 2025 looks to deliver another PPV with more than banger matches. Expect conclusions, surprises, a swerve or two, and plenty of new directions. Some questions may receive their answers, but new ones will emerge.
Clearly, with Darby Allin taking on Pac in their first singles match since 2020, Allin’s issues with the Death Riders will continue. The Bastard threw the daredevil through a flaming table, off the top of the staging at Blood and Guts. A match-up between two of AEW’s most intense characters and wrestlers, besides the match, you must wonder if this could be a Trojan horse manoeuvre to set up or instigate the seemingly inevitable fall of the Death Rider’s leader, Jon Moxley.
When Moxley takes on Kyle O’Reilly, no holds barred, will the Conglomeration member make the former AEW standard-bearer tap for the second match in a row? The story, told over the prior month, makes it one of the most intriguing of the evening.
Or likewise, does $1,000,000 match pitting former friends, The Young Bucks, against Jurassic Express and Kenny Omega lead to the reformation of The Elite? Or do The Young Bucks join the Don Callis Family?
There’s plenty more to discuss and speculate on.

Gamble of the Night: Casino Gauntlet Match
The introduction of the new AEW National Championship has stirred controversy and discussion. Does AEW have too many championships? While I’ve analysed the debate here, the question won’t be settled until we see how the championship fits into the broader landscape.
This 7th Casino Gauntlet match offers all kinds of possibilities. With Hurt Syndicate members Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin competing against each other and building/foreshadowing, focusing on Ricochet and The Demand, it could make other challengers seem auxiliary.
However, we’ve seen time and again that unique combinations, creative thought, and strong pacing help not only extend or revisit rivalries but also spur new ones and create moments. Like going to a casino, this match is a gamble. Let’s hope this multi-man chaos is a good starting point for a new championship.
