At the beginning of 2004, WWE brought Eddie Guerrero’s personal life into a storyline. His personal addictions became a story where he competed in matches where he had to overcome his feuds, viewed as obstacles. It outlined his dream of becoming a champion. When he finally earned his opportunity, nothing was going to ruin his chances of accomplishing his lifelong goal.
This timing was huge for Guerrero, as everything he had been through led him to the WWE Title. It definitely wasn’t going to be an easy task for him, as he had to go through WWE’s biggest star at the time, Brock Lesnar. No Way Out 2004 was regarded as one of Guerrero’s biggest nights in his wrestling career. With the event located at The Cow Palace in San Francisco, California, he felt all the love he wanted in front of his friends and family. The moment he won the title, the crowd went wild as Eddie Guerrero finally achieved his lifelong goal of becoming champion.
