#4: Cheating to Win at WrestleMania 20
If there was one thing about Eddie Guerrero that fans enjoyed, it was his cheating ways. Memorably, Guerrero would cheat to win by tossing a chair at his opponent to trick them and the referee, secretly ripping the turnbuckles, or delivering a massive low blow.
His biggest test was at WrestleMania 20. At that event, he was defending his newly won WWE Championship against one of his most challenging opponents, Kurt Angle. Knowing that he had never defeated Angle before, he had to find a way to prevail over “The Olympic Gold Medalist”. Since Angle was familiar with Guerrero’s cheating ways, Guerrero decided to cheat in a unique way.
When Angle had Guerrero trapped in the Ankle Lock submission hold, it seemed that Guerrero was ready to tap out. Luckily for him, he countered by rolling Angle away. With Angle laid out outside the ring, Guerrero loosened up his left boot for a certain reason. Once, Angle tried to lock in the hold again, Angle caught the boot instead, leading to Guerrero pulling a roll up on a confused and frustrated Angle.
