TNA iMPACT Preview (11/6/25) – Special Episode – “Open Fight Night”

As announced last week, this week’s TNA iMPACT episode is another unusual one. Eight days before TNA Turning Point, for the first time since February 2017, “Open Fight Night” returns. “Anyone can issue a challenge, and it must be accepted.”

The road to Turning Point continues as Open Fight Night makes its highly anticipated return for the first time since 2017,” says TNA Wrestling. “Anyone can make a challenge, and everyone must accept! When the opportunities are endless, what chaos will unfold?”

What is “Open Fight Night?”

The concept of “any challenge that’s issued has to be accepted” debuted in April 2012, under the Hulk Hogan era. Nine episodes aired from April to December 2012. On the June 20, 2013 edition, twelve wrestlers were chosen; six competitors could call out any of the other wrestlers to have a match, with a point system.

TNA last held an Open Fight Night episode of iMPACT on February 2, 2017. Wrestlers who had won the Race for the Case on the January 19 episode of Impact Wrestling would be cashing in their briefcases for their desired matches. These bouts were taped.

What About the 2025 “Open Fight Night?”

Nothing more than what TNA Wrestling said has been announced for the 2025 edition. The company still has a few unaired matches from the last taping session in Edmonton, AB. More precisely, a segment and four matches. From them, there’s some interesting potential for a TNA World Tag Team title and Knockouts World title matches at Turning Point.

Also, the post-Bound for Glory question marks have been piling up. When is the Slater vs Evans X-Division title rematch? Is it over between Order 4 and the System, Tessa Blanchard and Gia Miller, and the Nemeths and the Home Town Man? What about Eric Young’s cleansing mission? Are Rich Swann and AJ Francis now enemies? What’s next for the returning Elijah? Also, Frankie Kazarian and Nic Nemeth both won the Call Your Shot Gauntlet match. That’s a lot to deal with.
