Drew McIntyre Renews WWE Contract; Signed Through WrestleMania 2028

One significant change has come to light regarding Drew McIntyre’s status in WWE, putting an end to recent speculation about his future. One of WWE’s most prominent main-event talents, the Scottish Warrior has agreed to remain with the company until WrestleMania 2028. According to Fightful Select, McIntyre has signed a new multi-year contract that ensures his continued presence at the top of WWE programming for the next several years.

Other Aspirations Put on Hold

The news effectively ends any near-term ambitions Drew McIntyre may have had to appear elsewhere, such as in Juggalo Championship Wrestling (JCW). JCW had recently received interest from former WWE writer Vince Russo, who had invited McIntyre to join the promotion once his WWE contract expired.

This interest dates back to McIntyre’s early years as a young wrestler when he once expressed a desire to compete under the JCW banner, something he never had the chance to do. However, given his new long-term deal with WWE, that opportunity no longer appears likely in the near future.

Drew McIntyre Continues Main Event Spotlight

Although McIntyre did not capture victory in his recent title attempt, he continues to hold a firm position among WWE’s elite. He faced Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship on the November 1 episode of Saturday Night’s Main Event and once again delivered a strong performance despite the loss.

With the Raw brand preparing to launch a 16-man tournament to determine John Cena’s next and final storyline opponent, Drew McIntyre may soon find himself back in the spotlight, pursuing another major storyline. While his short-term direction remains clear, WWE has now secured his long-term future, assuring fans that the Scottish Warrior will remain a fixture in the company for years to come.
