A TNA Halloween special airs this week A Very Hardy Halloween

TNA iMPACT Preview (10/30/25) – A Special “Very Hardy Halloween” Edition

As announced last week after TNA iMPACT, this week’s TNA iMPACT episode is another unusual one, as it’s a “Very Hardy Halloween” special. Brother Nero, Brother Matt, and their Broken family will be the stars of this TNA Halloween-themed episode.

“Enter a universe unlike any other as Matt and Jeff Hardy open the gates to their world, The Hardy Compound,” says TNA Wrestling. “Go inside the minds of The Hardys as they relive some of their favorite Broken memories.”

The Broken Universe

In 2016, Matt Hardy returned to TNA/ Impact Wrestling, revealing himself to be one of the impostor Willows behind the attacks on Jeff Hardy. Later the same night, Matt attacked Jeff. In the following weeks, Matt Hardy debuted a new persona as a “Broken” man, with part of his hair bleached blonde, along with a strange, sophisticated accent.

He blamed Jeff (who he began referring to as “Brother Nero”, Nero being Jeff’s middle name) for breaking him and becoming obsessed with “deleting” him. His line “Delete” was mostly inspired by the Death Note manga/anime series character Teru Mikami.

The feud would also take place at their home in Cameron, North Carolina. In the special episode “The Final Deletion“, Matt defeated Jeff in the match to become the sole owner of the Hardy brand, forcing Jeff to drop his last name and become referred to as “Brother Nero.” More special episodes would take place in the Compound, such as “Delete or Decay” and “Total Nonstop Deletion.”

The Broken Universe involves the Lake of Reincarnation, the flying drone Vanguard-1, or the steadfast bodyguard and loyalist, Skarsgard. It also allowed people to develop memorable identities. Matt’s real-life family got involved, like his wife, Reby, his eldest son, Maxel, and Señor Benjamin (Matt’s father-in-law).

The 2025 Reincarnation

The Hardys (Matt Hardy & Jeff Hardy) are the reigning TNA World Tag Team Champions. They had the NXT Tag Team Titles, but lost the belts to DarkState (Dion Lennox & Osiris Griffin) at NXT Halloween Havoc. The aforementioned title match was a Broken Rules match, and Matt and Jeff competed as the Broken Hardys (Broken Matt & Brother Nero).

After defeating DarkState at NXT Showdown, the faction attacked the Hardys backstage at NXT on October 14. A week later, a vignette aired. We could hear Matt Hardy’s voice from the family Compound. “We knew you were not going to walk away after you lost the NXT titles to us. There I say, we knew you can’t,” said Matt Hardy. We then saw the brothers going to the Lake of Reincarnation. DarkState awoke Broken Matt Hardy and Brother Nero, and we got a Broken Rules Match at NXT Halloween Havoc 2025.
