Road to King of Pro-Wrestling 2025 ended on night four at Saitama, with the Jr. tag belts on the line in the main event. Here’s what went down in the much-awaited title match, two days before the big show at Ryogoku:
SHO & DOUKI Retain for a Second Time
House of Torture will hang on to the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team titles as SHO & DOUKI retain over KUUKAI and El Desperado. It was their second successful defense, following their first from last month against TMDK’s Ichiban Sweet Boys team of Robbie Eagles and Kosei Fujita.
The challengers fought like hell, with KUUKAI showcasing his explosive athleticism to the NJPW fans in a title match. However, a well-timed shot with the black mirror behind the referee’s back to KUUKAI’s head from SHO spelled the difference.
After his fifth reign as IWGP Jr. Heavyweight title ended at the hands of DOUKI two days ago, El Desperado is truly back to square one after another title match defeat. On the other hand, the champions now look forward to the Super Jr. Tag League and King of Pro-Wrestling on Monday, where their fellow H.o.T. members EVIL and Ren Narita seek to add more gold to their ranks.
Here are the full results of the show:
