This week on NXT, we will see the fallout from NXT Homecoming, which took place last week. We saw many stars return to their old stomping grounds, but now we will be back to our regularly scheduled program for the most part. During the event, matches were created and previewed for this Tuesday.
Here is what to expect from NXT this week.
Match Card and Preview
- Lights Out Match: Lexis King vs. Myles Borne
- Title vs. Title Winner Takes All TNA Champion Trick Williams vs. NXT Champion Oba Femi
- #1 Contender Match for Speed Championship: Candice LeRae vs. Lainey Reid

Who Will Be the New TNA and NXT Champion?
During NXT Homecoming, Grayson Waller held his talk show, The Grayson Waller Effect, with NXT Champion Oba Femi and Number One Contender, Ricky Starks. During the show, TNA Champion Trick Williams interrupts as he is not done with Oba Femi or fighting for the NXT Championship.
Grayson Waller proposed what seemed to be one of his better ideas. He proposed for this week on NXT to see Trick Williams vs Oba Femi in a Title for Title match, so the winner takes all. After this match, we will find out who will be going to face Ricky Starks at No Mercy, defending the NXT Championship.
The two have competed against each other in various matches, but the stakes have never been this high. Who will walk out of NXT this week as NXT and TNA Champion?
Lights Out for Lexis King or Myles Borne
Over the past few weeks, tensions have risen between Lexis King and Myles Borne. King has been trying to get the upper hand over Borne.
On the August 26th edition of NXT, Borne competed in a blindfold match against Lexis King, where King picked up the victory after hitting the referee, removing his blindfold, and then delivering a low blow to Borne. Borne got back at King two weeks later when he turned the lights off in the locker room and attacked King with a steel chair.
At NXT Homecoming, not only did Finn Balor come out to help Myles Borne against King, but a lights-out match was also scheduled for this week on NXT. So once the lights turn off in the arena, anything goes. Clearly, things have been building up for weeks between these two; maybe this week, things can finally get settled.
