Three Major WWE Superstars Missing Wrestlepalooza

WWE’s next premium live event, Wrestlepalooza 2025, takes place this weekend. The company has revived ECW’s event and given it its own spin. It will feature John Cena taking on Brock Lesnar, Cody Rhodes defending his WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre, The Usos facing The Vision, AJ Lee and CM Punk competing against Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch, along with a singles match between Stephanie Vaquer and IYO SKY to determine the new Women’s World Champion.

While so much is happening, three major superstars will miss Wrestlepalooza.

LA Knight

LA Knight has been a significant part of WWE programming. The Megastar once challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. He even held the United States Championship, but today, Knight is not involved in a match at this major premium live event.

He has an ongoing issue with The Usos, especially Jey Uso, but despite this, the former United States Champion has no match this weekend. It seems unlikely that he will have anything to do with The Usos during their match at Wrestlepalooza. If he does cost them the win, something could come out of the ongoing storyline; otherwise, he may miss the show altogether.

Randy Orton

Randy Orton attacked Drew McIntyre three weeks ago. Randy’s RKO led to a match between the two last week on SmackDown. Drew almost had things under control until Cody Rhodes returned to prevent his former mentor from defeating The Scottish Psychopath. McIntyre has a title match at Wrestlepalooza and would stoop to any level to get The American Nightmare’s WWE Championship around his waist.

Randy has no match at the premium live event, and it’s possible that he may not show up this weekend. The only way he could make his presence felt is if he decides to return Cody’s favor and help him retain the title.

AJ Styles

AJ Styles has had a rough road heading into Wrestlepalooza. The Phenomenal One was once focused on winning the Intercontinental Championship from Dominik Mysterio. However, it looks like his quest has been thwarted, as he was recently involved in helping Dragon Lee against cheap attacks from El Grande Americanos during a recent Raw episode.

Styles has no match planned for Wrestlepalooza, and there are no indications that he will have any involvement during the premium live event. The only way this could change is if the former World Champion gets involved in a backstage altercation with Dominik Mysterio, leading to an impromptu match.
