Trick Williams vs. Mike Santana TNA Bound For Glory Match Graphic

WWE NXT Shambles TNA Bound For Glory Main Event

Until last night and WWE NXT Homecoming, the TNA Bound for Glory main event was Mike Santana against TNA World Champion NXT’s Trick Williams, with the title on the line. Everything has changed since last night. Mike Santana may be facing Trick Williams, or a new Champion.

TNA World Champion Trick Williams interrupted NXT Champion, Oba Femi and Ricky Saints on The Grayson Waller Effect. This confrontation set the stage for a historic Title for Title Winner Take All match between Williams and Femi next Tuesday on NXT. At NXT No Mercy, Femi is supposed to face Ricky Saints for the NXT Championship, but things could completely change.

Mike Santana and the TNA Roster’s Reactions

Teases of an imminent TNA invasion were evident throughout social media during NXT Homecoming, with talents such as Mike Santana, Mustafa Ali, Matt Hardy, The IInspiration’s Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay, and even TNA Director of Authority, Santino Marella calling out the “NXT” brand for “disrespecting” TNA amidst their partnership.

TNA announcers Matthew Rehwoldt and Tom Hannifan also expressed their unhappiness. Cedric Alexander requests a change. Eddie Edwards also said, “Time for a change.” Since the beginning of the NXT/TNA partnership, earlier this year, it may be the first time the TNA roster, as a whole, has angrily expressed its feelings against WWE NXT. The TNA fans have had doubts for quite a long time.

Mike Santana said on X, “To keep it real with everyone… I’m pretty sick and tired of all the “WWE/NXT has control over TNA and can do what they want,” bullshit. Think it’s about time we put it to rest and do something about…” He also added that he would take the TNA World title back home at Bound For Glory, whoever he has to face.

The Timetable Till Bound For Glory and Its Consequences

Until October 12, the TNA World Championship could change hands twice. Then, at TNA Bound For Glory, Mike Santana will bring the title back home (Nygma is sure), which means a possible third title change in the matter of three weeks.

On September 23, on WWE NXT, Trick Williams will face Oba Femi in a Title for Title Winner Take All match. Whether Trick Williams remains TNA Champion and becomes NXT Champion, or Oba Femi will become the new TNA Champion while remaining NXT Champion. That would be a perfect day for a TNA invasion, but the TNA World Championship will remain in an NXT talent’s hands.

On September 25, the day before NXT Mercy, TNA presents Victory Road. The TNA World Championship is not supposed to be on the line, but, for sure, some NXT talents may make their presence felt.

On September 26, here comes NXT No Mercy. NXT Champion Oba Femi or Trick Williams will face Ricky Saints for the NXT Championship. But, what if Ricky Saints wants more and asks for a Winner Takes All match too? That’s definitely a match and title change possibility.

In the end, Mike Santana will compete at TNA Bound For Glory for the TNA World Championship. The question is, who will be the TNA World Champion on October 12? Trick Williams? Oba Femi? Ricky Saints? Whoever it is, the TNA title has been in NXT’s hands way too long. It’s time for it to come back home, where it belongs.
