WWE SummerSlam 2025 Night Two Predictions

The Biggest Part of the Summer is knocking at our doorstep. For close to 30 years, SummerSlam has been a staple of WWE’s summer schedule, and this year is proving to be one of the best in WWE history.

This weekend marks the first time that SummerSlam has been split into two nights. Both nights have a ton of promise, but for now, we will be focusing on Night One. It is a night that will see stars, young and old, vying for their chance at glory.

A night that will have no problem competing with its Sunday counterpart for the best card of the weekend. But the biggest question of all is who will walk away victorious. Who will be standing on top of the mountain when SummerSlam Night Two concludes? Let’s take a crack at predicting the winners.

Intercontinental Championship Match: Dominik Mysterio vs A.J. Styles

The feud between A.J. Styles and Dominik Mysterio has been one of the most entertaining of the year. There has been a significant amount of comedy in the program, and their segments have been hilarious. Considering they had no physical altercations, they have done a fantastic job of making us want to watch this match.

Both men have a fun, high-flying move set, so this should be a fast-paced affair. It would also be a great choice to open night two and get the crowd hot.

Having A.J. Styles go over is the right call here. Mysterio has been great as the champion, but he may be focusing more on issues with AAA going forward. Plus, Styles’ career is winding down, and WWE should put a belt on him while he can still go.

Winner: A.J. Styles

United States Championship Match: Solo Sikoa vs Jacob Fatu

The former Bloodline members have been great for SmackDown’s mid-card scene. Sikoa has blossomed into a great heel, and Fatu is on track to become a massive star. They have tremendous chemistry, and they will carry this into their Steel Cage match.

Cage matches don’t often make it onto PLEs, so it will be fun to see what gets put together. This feud has been a very personal one, and it needs to be blown off the right way. A Steel Cage will provide the arena; now, Fatu and Sikoa need to deliver. Judging from their past matches, there’s no reason to doubt that this will be a fun match. One that is worth SummerSlam.

Solo Sikoa’s reign hasn’t been long, and it’s not going to get any longer. Jacob Fatu needs to get his championship back and move on to another program. He is the man to lead the mid-card on SmackDown and should get a lengthy reign this time around. Winner: Jacob Fatu

WWE Tag Team Championship Match: DIY vs The Motor City Machin Guns vs Fraxiom vs The Street Profits vs Andrade & Ray Fenix vs The Wyatt Sicks

The Tag Team scene on SmackDown has been strong for a while now. The division is deep with incredible talent, and they have been putting on banger after banger. They got shafted at WrestleMania, so it’s nice to see WWE put a TLC match and give these artists a canvas to paint with. Who doesn’t love a good old-fashioned TLC match?

It’s a toss-up for who is going to walk away with the straps here. Every team has a legitimate claim,  and there wouldn’t be a complaint if any of them won this match. For that reason, it would make sense for WWE to go with the status quo and have the Wyatts retain. This will be their first major title defense, and it would mean a lot to have them retain.

Winners: The Wyatt Sicks

Women’s Intercontinental Championship Match: Becky Lynch vs Lyra Valkyria

Everything about the program between these two women has been phenomenal. It has worked wonders for the development of Valkyria, and Becky Lynch’s heel work has no equal. They have been the highlight of every show they are on, and their matches have been amazing. There is no reason to think that they won’t pull off another banger when given the SummerSlam stage.

The no-disqualification stipulation changes the thought process for how this match should go. Valkyria would be the one walking away the winner, but that might not be the case. Beck Lynch will have something up her sleeve and use the no disqualification stipulation to squeak out the win. Winner: Becky Lynch

Women’s World Championship Match: Naomi vs Iyo Sky vs Rhea Ripley

Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky have been dominant this year. Their matches have been classics, and the audience loves them for it. Now that Naomi has pushed her way onto Raw, the dynamic has become even better. She has worked as the perfect heel to counteract the massively over babyfaces that are Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky.

This match will steal the show at SummerSlam. That’s not a prediction but a spoiler. It will be everything that we want it to be and more. These women are some of the best wrestlers on the planet, and they have a familiarity that will get this match going quickly. Having it as the main event of the night would be awesome, but we know that won’t happen.

Naomi has just started her championship reign, and there’s no chance it will end here. WWE needs to let her breathe as the champion. Also, getting the big win here will mean more to her than it will to the other two women.

Winner: Naomi

WWE Championship Match: John Cena vs Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes has been on a mission since WrestleMania. He got screwed at WrestleMania, and he will finally get his shot at SummerSlam. The promo battles between him and John Cena have been great, as usual, with Cena turning face on the last one. It adds another level of intrigue heading into the match.

Adding a Street Fight to the mix is a great idea here. Cena is limited in the ring, and this will allow him and Rhodes to hide some of those limitations. It will be a fun contest with two of the best to do it.

It’s hard to bet against the 17-time World Champion, but it’s looking like Cody Rhodes is going to get his belt back at SummerSlam. It will be interesting to see how WWE goes about doing this. Will the rumoured heel turn take place? Or will Cody Rhodes stay the course? Both options are doable, but both will end up with Cody Rhodes being the WWE Champion once again.

Winner: Cody Rhodes
