Los Garza is riding high after winning the AAA World Tag Team Championship at Triplemania Regia III in June, defeating four other teams to hoist up the belts. On this week’s WWE SmackDown, Angel and Berto, guided by their Legado Del Fantasma leader, Santos Escobar, issued an open challenge to anyone who wants to try and dethrone them from their perch.
Los Garza challenged anyone, whether it’s from SmackDown, Monday Night Raw, NXT, or even AAA, to come to their “home plate,” and try their hand at the “Royaltyof Lucha Libre.”
Ask, and you shall receive, as the old saying goes. Mr. Iguana and Psycho Clown called the challenge of Berto and Angel. The “Lovable Lizard,” social media sensation and the best AAA has had over the past decade in the form of Psycho Clown, answers the call, marking their WWE television debut.
SmackDown will get a treat tonight courtesy of these two amazing teams fighting out for the AAA World Tag Team Titles.
