For the past couple of months, Karrion Kross has been antagonizing Sami Zayn. From saying he doesn’t have what it takes to be champion to attacking him inside and outside the ring, he has become a major problem. The way to fix a problem is to find a solution. In professional wrestling, the solution is to have a match. On the July 21, 2025 episode of Monday Night Raw, the two men finally faced off against one another. This was a much anticipated match by not only them, but by the fans as well. They have been relentless in wanting a push for Karrion Kross. Did he return the favor by beating Sami Zayn?

Karrion Kross Defeats Sami Zayn Using a Familiar Trick
This match was a long time coming for Karrion Kross and Sami Zayn. He’s been purposely trying to get a match with Zayn in order to test him. To him, he knows Zayn can be an amazing wrestler capable of great things inside the ring. But to Zayn, he’s a bully that doesn’t know how to mind his business. Zayn got the upper hand to start, but as everyone knows, Kross doesn’t come alone to the ring. His valet and wife Scarlett is always there in case something goes wrong.
This week, she carried with her the pipe that had been Zayn’s demise for weeks. At first, the ref caught Scarlett trying to sneak it to Karrion Kross. However, when he wasn’t looking, she gave her husband the pipe. Distracting the referee by grabbing the leg of Sami Zayn, she allowed Kross to hit him with the pipe. He then pinned him for the three count and the victory. It was a sigh of relief for both him and his fans. They really wanted to see him succeed, and his win tonight could be the start of something great. However, Zayn lost by cheating, so it wouldn’t be surprising if their feud isn’t over. But for now, Karrion Kross got a much needed victory over a very talented rival and Sami Zayn lost another opportunity to get rid of his most recent top rival.
