With Night of Champions in the rearview mirror, WWE is turning the page toward its next major PLE, Evolution II in just over two weeks. Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce have promised some Evolution II related updates tonight (including what to do about the women’s tag team titles) and there have been rumors of stars returning to help build the card. Our WWE Raw preview takes a look at what to expect tonight as WWE hits the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, PA.
As a reminder, tonight’s Raw airs live at 6 PM ET, followed by a taping of Friday’s SmackDown.
WWE Raw Preview
- Sami Zayn and Penta vs Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker
- After brawling at Night of Champions, Zayn and Penta are teaming up to face Seth Rollins’ henchmen. Could a certain Karrion Kross be lurking? Or perhaps Rollins himself will rear his ugly head…
- World Tag Team Championship: New Day vs Judgment Day
- After weeks of manipulating the Judgment Day from the inside, Finn Balor is finally getting another chance to win a title as he teams with mentee JD McDonagh to take on the New Day. Will the two handle business on their own or will more twists develop in the ongoing Judgment Day storyline.
- Sheamus vs Rusev
- It’s Bulgaria vs Ireland as the battle of former League of Nations’ members takes center stage. Ever since Rusev returned to WWE, Sheamus hasn’t approved of how he’s been conducting his business. The man behind banger after banger after banger is hoping he can knock the Redeemer down a peg.
- Gunther and Rhea Ripley with Live Mics
- Gunther is gearing up toward a title defense against Goldberg on the July 12 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event and Rhea Ripley surely has all eyes on getting on the card for Evolution II. Both of these two stars will be on hand Monday Night to shake up the WWE Universe with whatever they have to say.
