TNA iMPACT Preview (6/26/25) – Violently Happy

The case continues in this week’s TNA iMPACT preview. No, you won’t know yet why Trick-NA makes me laugh, as NXT’s Trick Williams is still the TNA World Champion. As the road to TNA Slammiversary continued, Trick Williams put the TNA World Championship on the line against Josh Briggs on the June 24 episode of WWE NXT.

Yoshiki Inamura watched on from the ringside after pinning Williams in last week’s six-man tag team match. Williams hit a big Trick Kick to gain the advantage. Minutes later, Briggs countered with a Chokeslam, but Williams grabbed the bottom rope to break the count.

The closing moments of this back-and-forth contest saw Briggs miss a top rope Moonsault, allowing Williams to capitalize with the Trick Shot to win. After the match, former TNA World Champion Joe Hendry was unleashed as he attacked Trick Williams from behind.

Next Tuesday on NXT, Wes Lee of The High Ryze will look to take out Joe Hendry when they go one-on-one. But this week, TNA iMPACT! Will simulcast for free on YouTube. The road to TNA Slammiversary is definitely eNYGMAtic…

TNA iMPACT Preview & Card (6/26/25)

Matches Announced

The Stakes at TNA Wrestling

Mike Santana’s suspension is lifted, and now it’s time for war. After weeks of escalating violence, Mike Santana and AJ Francis settle their score in a Street Fight. No rules, no count-outs, just two men looking to tear each other apart. Will Santana’s return be triumphant, or will Francis’ brute force prevail in the back alleys of the iMPACT Zone?

The Hardys are back in action. After Eric Young stole a victory over Sami Callihan last week with the help of The Northern Armory, Matt and Jeff Hardy stepped up to fight back against the chaos. Will the legendary duo shut down the uprising of Icarus and Williams, or will The Northern Armory continue their surge under Young’s leadership?

A huge opportunity awaits the Knockouts Division. Who will outlast the field and earn a future shot at the TNA Knockouts World Championship? With big names like The IInspiration, The Elegance Brand, and countless others all circling the title scene, expect this Battle Royal to be an all-out fight for glory.

Tensions inside The Order have boiled over. Following last week’s explosive summit, John Skyler defied Mustafa Ali’s leadership and now faces the consequences in the first-ever Call to Arms Match. What exactly is a Call to Arms Match? Nobody knows for sure, except Ali. One thing is certain: this will be a fight for survival.

Tag team warfare becomes singles combat as Zachary Wentz of The Rascalz collides with Ryan Nemeth, one-half of the TNA World Tag Team Champions. With Trey Miguel and Nic Nemeth lurking ringside, chaos is almost guaranteed. Can Wentz score a major win for The Rascalz, or will Ryan Nemeth prove why The Nemeths hold the gold?

The X-Division Champion is set for competition. After suffering a rare loss in last week’s Champions Challenge, Moose steps back into the ring looking to remind the world why he’s one of the most dangerous men in TNA. But who will step up to face him?

The Nygma’s View

This episode is made of matches only, and I adore that. The war between Mike Santana and AJ Francis could only end this way. Violently. A Street Fight is the perfect way for Santana to give back to Francis what he did to him. Santana failed at becoming TNA World Champion because of Francis (also KC Navarro and Trick Williams). I have said multiple times that Mike Santana is a hero. Nygma says: Heroes always prevail.

What is a Call to Arms match? Honestly, I have no clue and will find out like you. Then, don’t expect Mustafa Ali not to do some embroidery here (a way to say being brutal in French). In Dirty Ali mode, the Call to Arms could turn into a blood bath. Nygma says: Why have I called this review ‘Violently Happy?” Because I am when the fights are violent.

Twenty TNA Knockouts will compete in a Knockouts Battle Royal for a TNA Knockouts Championship match opportunity. I am a bit surprised this Battle Royal happens before Masha Slamovich defends against Killer Kelly. Then, don’t expect any surprise from NXT as the current TNA roster is stacked enough to fill the match. Nygma says: The ‘Who will win’, can be interesting, as it can be upsetting.

TNA X-Division Champion Moose will more than probably show Leon Slater that he is a great wrestler. The “Who” here is not the most important thing. The Moose vs Slater Slammiversary match is made to make history. I just love the two guys as they represent all I love in TNA. Nygma says, “Can we just let things be forever?”

Zachary Wentz will face Ryan Nemeth. Both men will have their brother by their side. When Trey Miguel can hold on, Nic Nemeth is capable of the worst. TNA said it too: Smells like chaos. Nygma says: What did you expect? (Nygma hates Schweppes©, for those who are interested in that news.)

The Hardys will face the Northern Armory, with Eric Young at ringside. As you may have noticed, or if you’re a fellow reader, Young has blown a fuse (a French way to say he got mad). Where he is supposed to support his boys, Young could cost them the match due to the importance of not being earnest (kudos, Oscar Un-Wilde). Nygma says: Judas Icarus and Travis Williams deserve better.

The Road to Slammiversary is on, so let’s go for the third stop of our 6-iMPACT ride. I’ll see you on Friday for TNA iMPACT! “After The Bell.” And very soon, you’ll know a lot more about Harley Hudson, as I interviewed her just before writing this. Till then, may the Nygma be with you.

That’s all for this week’s TNA iMPACT preview.
