WWE SmackDown Preview (5/30/25) – The Friday After Saturday Night’s Main Event

WWE SmackDown is once again the site for the fallout from an earth-shattering Saturday Night’s Main Event. Last Saturday night, we saw the return of Cody Rhodes, making a huge challenge for John Cena. A lot more things happened last weekend, and we’ll deal with everything this Friday night.

Without further ado, we bring you a full WWE SmackDown preview for May 30, 2025. Let’s run it down,

WWE SmackDown Preview for May 30, 2025:

  • Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena Returns to SmackDown
  • Bianca Belair Returns
  • Women’s Money in the Bank Qualifier: Jade Cargill vs. Nia Jax vs. Naomi
  • Men’s Money in the Bank Qualifier: Andrade vs. Jacob Fatu vs. Carmelo Hayes

Battle for the Right

There are only two spots left for the Women’s Money in the Bank Match, and Nia Jax, Jade Cargill, and Naomi all have the chance to join the ranks of a stacked playing field vying for the right to secure a guaranteed shot at a world championship anytime they please. Jax has been on the hunt to regain the WWE Women’s Championship since losing it to kick off the year.

For Naomi, it’s been over eight years since she’s held a singles world title, and with this newfound edge, she’s willing to do anything now more than ever to become the top woman in WWE. Jade Cargill is a special case. Having held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, Cargill’s goal is to secure the singles prize in all of WWE by becoming Ms. Money in the Bank.

Who will come out of this three-way as the fifth woman in Los Angeles?

GOAT-ed Return

It’s been a while since we’ve seen John Cena on SmackDown. That said, the world saw plenty of him, as the 17-time World Champion proved that there’s no turning back now, dismantling R-Truth in their match and almost costing Jey Uso the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Cena’s plans would be thwarted by a returning “American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes.

The “Greatest of All-Time” once again returns to Friday night to wind down his retirement tour, and she’ll surely address everything that happened last Saturday night. What will the “Unseen 17” say exactly to the WWE Universe?

Let’s all find out this Friday night only on the USA Network and Netflix!
