Rusev made his much-anticipated return to WWE after five years on WWE Raw after WrestleMania.
Many were left scratching their heads when he chose to return to disrupt an impromptu World Tag Team Championship match between The New Day and The Alpha Academy.
Perhaps, this was a totally random decision for Rusev to walk through the curtain and curtail this match. Or, perhaps it was a strategic plan.
Maybe Rusev is back with his sights set on tag team domination. WWE Raw in Kansas City will likely give us our next look at Rusev.
We have to ask does Rusev have a secret WWE Raw tag team partner? If he does, here are the potential candidates.
Rusev WWE Raw Tag Team Partners
Sheamus
Rusev has had very few tag team partners during his time in WWE. But between 2016-17 he did team with Sheamus multiple times when they were both part of the League of Nations faction.
Sheamus hasn’t had a match on WWE Raw since January so needs a refresh. A dominating team with Rusev could be perfect for him.
Rusev and Sheamus seem to have a friendship outside of the ring. Sheamus has often shared images of the two drinking, working out or travelling together.

Joe Hendry
Social media has been a buzz with people giddily sharing pictures of Rusev and his former diplomat Joe Hendry. Hendry made an enhancement talent appearance for WWE acting as a lawyer for Rusev in 2014.
Since then Hendry has become one of the hottest talents not signed to WWE. The TNA World Heavyweight Champion even appeared at WrestleMania 41 where he faced Randy Orton.
Hendry is too interesting for WWE not to take on full-time. Teaming him with Rusev as a hat-tip to their one-night pairing a decade ago is too fun to avoid. Rusev shared a backstage picture with Hendry after his return to WWE Raw.
Perhaps they discussed forming a team.
Otis
When Otis and Rusev stood across the ring from each other on WWE Raw the sheer size caused the crowd to erupt. Rusev came off better.
A match against the two seems a foregone conclusion but could a pairing also be on the cards?
Otis is one of the most established tag team wrestlers on WWE Raw. His current pairing see Otis as a lovable fan favourite as part of the Alpha Academy with Akira Tozawa and Maxine Dupri.
Trading Tozawa for Rusev and taking a proper shot at The New Day could be too tempting for Otis.
