AEW and Prime Video Enter Partnership for PPV Distribution

AEW and Amazon Prime are now tag team partners as the former announced in a press release on Wednesday, that AEW PPVs will be available to purchase on Prime Video starting with this weekend’s Revolution.

According to the release, fans in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom will be able to purchase AEW PPVs on Prime as part of a new multi-year agreement between the two companies. Revolution on March 9 will be the first such show but fans will be able to purchase all of AEW’s major events including Dynasty, Double or Nothing, All In, Forbidden Door, WrestleDream, Full Gear, All Out, and World’s End, through Prime’s video platform.

“We are thrilled to work with Prime Video to bring all AEW pay-per-view events to their incredible service, marking a major milestone in the continued expansion of AEW’s global reach,” said AEW CEO, GM and Head of Creative Tony Khan in the release. “AEW pay-per-view events are consistently the most exciting professional wrestling events in the world, and fans will now be able to experience that firsthand through Prime Video beginning with AEW Revolution this Sunday, March 9.”
While this is Amazon’s first foray into wrestling, the company is well versed in its production of live sports including Thursday Night Football, Premier Boxing Champions, and regular NBA, NHL and UEFA Champions League games.
