AEW Collision TNT Championship Match Announced for March 1st Episode

On the February 26 episode of AEW Dynamite, Daniel Garcia teamed with FTR against Undisputed Kingdom members Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, and Roderick Strong in a losing effort. The match featured high spots, such as Kyle O’Reilly being trapped by FTR as he tried to protect Strong. Garcia fell to Cole courtesy of a reversal bridged pin. Excalibur, in commentary, announced the breaking news that Tony Khan had sanctioned a TNT Championship match between Garcia and Cole in the AEW Collision March 1st edition The episode emanates live at the Oakland Arena in Oakland, California.

The Undisputed Kingdom has been teetering toward heel antics in the past few weeks, and this match cemented it. Isolating Harwood, playing dirty, and coordinating to stop any comeback added a level of intensity that felt unbecoming of their previous approaches to matches.

This week’s AEW Collision segment would give substance to the team’s current angle, either as AEW Trios Championship challengers or holders. Cole, in particular, has been displaying a snarky, annoyed personality as of late.

Daniel Garcia won the TNT Championship on November 23 at Full Gear 2024, defeating the still-absent Jack Perry. Garcia has held the TNT Championship for 95 days as of this writing.

So far, he’s had few title defenses. He faced off against the likes of Mark Briscoe, Katsuyori Shibata, and Jay Lethal. Otherwise, he’s been in multi-man tag matches and participated in the recent Continental Classic tournament in late 2024.

Are you excited for this week’s AEW Collision March 1st, 2025 episode after this news?
