One of the most stacked Rumbles in history was better than the WWE Universe expected. A match that pitted megastars such as Roman Reigns, CM Punk, Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, John Cena, Sami Zayn, and many other formidable foes put on quite a show for the Indianapolis crowd in the Lucas Oil Stadium. Thirty men entered with the goal of main-eventing WWE WrestleMania 41, and that man’s name was Jey Uso.
Coming in at #20, Jey Uso defied all the odds to overcome the most talent-overloaded version of the Royal Rumble to match the WWE Universe has ever seen, lasting well over 30 minutes in the Rumble.
In the final moments of WWE Royal Rumble 2025, it came down to Jey Uso and “Big Match John” himself, John Cena, as the final two competitors. It was a tense back-and-forth in what most consider the last two minutes of the 4th quarter for the Men’s Royal Rumble match. The two men dangled precariously at the edge of the ring, trying their hardest to knock one off the perch.
But again, Jey Uso was undeniable, and with a perfectly-timed offensive move, he managed to toss out John Cena to call his shot at either the Undisputed WWE or World Heavyweight Championship.
This thirty-man turmoil was one of the best we’ve ever seen in recent memory. And as history will tell you, it was won by none other than Jey Uso.
