5 Reasons To Watch WWE Saturday Nights Main Event

It looks as if WWE will keep the tradition of Saturday Night’s Main Event alive. Last month’s re-debut of the show was a successful one, and it did a fantastic job of capturing the allure of the original edition. It was a great night, and it has sparked further episodes from WWE.

Going forward, it looks like WWE will treat Saturday Night’s Main Event as a bridge show that everyone can enjoy on primetime. The show will be a great break from the PLEs but it will need to contain enough interesting points to draw the viewers in. Coming up on Saturday, WWE has done enough to pique the interest.

Here are the five reasons you should be tuning in to watch Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Gunther and Jey Uso Will Tear The House Down

The build towards Gunther and Jey Uso started rocky but has developed into something special. Gunther has regained his form on the stick and Jey has slipped into his babyface role perfectly. They have done a great job of building excitement for the match, and there is no doubt they will put on a fantastic match come Saturday.

The dynamic between the two men is interesting. Their differences are more than their similarities, which should make for a great match. It will be interesting to see how Gunther plans to ground the high-flying style of Uso.

They are both great workers and provide a fresh matchup at the top of the Raw title scene. All signs are pointing to this being a fantastic match on Saturday.

The Most Interesting Contract Signing In History

Contract signings are a common trope in WWE and one that gets a collective groan from everyone. They are often containing the usual promo train from the opponents and always end up in a table being flipped. It’s a tale as old as time.

The signing at Saturday Night’s Main Event will have all the usual trimmings but it is the players involved that will make it a segment worth watching. Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes have been money-selling the intensity of their program.

There is a true hatred between the men, and this will fuel their signing come Saturday. The segment will end in a brawl, no doubt, but the journey to get there should be an entertaining one.

The inclusion of Shawn Michaels, as the moderator, is the wild card here. He doesn’t have much history with either man but will be an interesting third man in the contract signing. Expect to see some jabs taken at the Heartbreak Kid that will get some reactions from the crowd.

The Coming Out Party Of The Samoan Werewolf

Jacob Fatu has been the MVP of the new Bloodline. While he hasn’t been the focal point of programs, he has always drawn the eye whenever he is in the ring. It is clear that WWE is getting ready to push Fatu, and Saturday Night’s Main Event will be the catalyst.

Fatu hasn’t been given much of a spotlight in the singles arena. He has flourished in multi-man affairs but has rarely been given a chance in the singles arena. This Saturday will be his big chance to show how he can handle a large spotlight.

Having Fatu face off against Braun Strowman will be perfect. Strowman is an imposing presence that has run through his fair share of opponents.

It will be a huge feather in the cap of Jacob to go over Strowman convincingly. The Samoan Werewolf will have arrived.

Will The Celtic Warrior Finally Complete His Trophy Case?

Sheamus has done everything there is to do in WWE. He has achieved greatness through his championship, Royal Rumble, Money in the Bank, and King of the Ring victories. It is a storied career but one that is missing an essential piece – the Intercontinental Championship.

The title has eluded Sheamus, and he has devoted the later part of his career to winning it. Saturday could be the day that the Celtic Warrior finally completes his quest.

There are only so many chances left for Sheamus, and Saturday Night’s Main Event could be the best one he has. It would be a huge moment for the SNME and a selling point for shows going forward.

There would be no damage done to Bron Breakker in the process as he could easily win the strap back at say WrestleMania. All signs point to Saturday night being a big one for the Celtic Warrior.

Rhea Ripley and Nia Jax Get A Chance At Redemption

On paper, the pairing of Nia Jax and Rhea Ripley should be a money-maker. They are two unstoppable powerhouses that stand in each other’s way. The matchup should make for a fantastic power struggle between two of the most imposing in company history.

However, this hasn’t been the case when they pair up. Through crowd indifference or poor booking, their matches have never become what they would have. This Saturday could be their last chance at redemption.

The biggest difference between the past and present is Nia Jax. She has been great in the ring and on the microphone since her return.

She has become the monster heel that everyone hoped she would. She will be the exact opponent that Rhea Ripley needs and this could be the time they realize the greatness of their pairing.
