Penta made his not-so-secret surprise debut on WWE Raw this week. He defeated Chad Gable in an excellent match that ran just under 15 minutes.
We saw Penta chop, fly over the top rope, do a very slow headstand drop, hit his Penta Driver, and generally impress the live crowd. Some were in tears but we’re pretty sure they were family members. The internet has also gone nuts for the impressive debut.
Many real people took to social media to share their thoughts but are of little interest here. Many current and former WWE stars shared their views on Penta. Now there’s an opinion we want to consume.
Here’s our round-up of wrestlers reacting to Penta’s debut.
Wrestlers React To Penta WWE Debut
Rey Mysterio spoke during the commercial break on WWE Raw on Netflix and said he’d known Penta for a long time and always knew he’d make WWE his home. Mysterio vs. Penta is a match many hope to see soon in WWE.
Gable took to social media to say he hated losing and Penta. But he admitted his match with Penta reminded him why he fell in love with “the beautiful artistic expression of physicality and pro wrestling.”
Bronson Reed posted on X welcoming Penta to WWE Raw. He added that he would save a Tsunami for him on his return from injury.
Big E was more genuinely positive about Penta. Big E said the debut was phenomenal and that he was thrilled to look forward to his run with WWE. We’ve put together some dream matches for Penta in WWE that you might want to take a look at, Big E.
Former AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa said she was proud to see Penta achieve his dream.
Maaaaaan…Penta v Gable was PHENOMENAL. Thrilled to see Penta’s upcoming run & a reminder that Gable has been magnificent for a long time. #RawOnNetflix
