Five New Year Resolutions for WWE Superstars

With the end of 2024 approaching, most people take the time to reflect on the previous 365 days and make changes in the new year. The New Year resolutions for WWE Superstars in 2025 are just like the ones so many of their fans in the WWE Universe have. They involve bettering themselves, dropping some pesky weight, and being smart with their money.

In typical WWE fashion, though, the stakes are higher, and the drama is more intense. They kicked off the last year with controversy and chaos that has carried the product to new heights, and the superstars can make that happen again in just a few days.

Rhea Ripley – Finally See Other People

For much of 2023 and 2024, Rhea Ripley was a dominant force in the WWE women’s division. She has also been saddled with the same ex, Dominik Mysterio, and his new girl, Liv Morgan, for an unseemly amount of that time.

The feud has admittedly done well thus far as far as social media views are concerned. However, in what is often treated as a top-three storyline on Raw, they have produced very few memorable moments.

Likewise, Ripley is the heir apparent for the top of the women’s division roster if she hasn’t achieved that goal already. Having such a shallow resume at the top makes everyone seem less worthy.

Ripley faces Liv again for the first Raw of the new year, which is likely to be one of the biggest in WWE history. New Year resolutions for WWE almost positively include a need for fresh feuds. Ripley, like so many of us, needs to get away from her horrible ex and his annoying new partner.

There has never been more talent on the women’s roster, and the opportunities are increasing each month. Leaving the Mysterio saga as soon as possible is the best way for Ripley to get a big jump on a banner year.

Jacob Fatu – Drop a Few Pounds

The New Year resolution for WWE superstar Jacob Fatu should be to cut some weight. Specifically, 250 pounds, give or take a Christmas dinner. That weight doesn’t belong to the Samoan Werewolf, though.

He is a big man with an incredible amount of athleticism and a bright future. That weight belongs to his beloved Tribal Chief, Solo Sikoa. The Sikoa Bloodline has been a success, something very few people predicted early on.

The saga continues onward, and there may never be a true end to The Bloodline. It is Fatu’s involvement, though, that should come to an end.

Fatu, in mere months, has become a star on the level with Roman Reigns and The Rock. In recent memory, there isn’t anyone WWE has done a better job of building into a main event talent that quickly. The longer Fatu stays on a leash, even one that Solo doesn’t hold, the more likely his star will fade.

The “I Love You Solo” gimmick is funny, and it works well for the team he is on. That is not the future for Fatu though.

While the first third of 2025 will still be dedicated to The Bloodline Civil War, Fatu should be moving on come April. Then, fans can see what Fatu can do as a menace on his own and not as an enforcer for his family business.

The Usos – Reconnect With Loved Ones

Jey Uso should be a world champion. Rikishi thinks so, among other things. A lot of fans think so too.

The height of the Yeet Movement has, simply put, died down. Jimmy Uso is back in the spotlight, having been sidelined while waiting for Roman Reigns to return to the company. This is the hottest that Jimmy has been in a long time but, on his own, that too will fade.

How does a top star in need of a new angle and a hot act looking for stability benefit one another? They team up together.

The Uso rivalry did not live up to the hype. Still, it has been a year since their falling out, and the fans are already excited to see them together again. If they win the tag titles in their first match back as a team sometime this year, that reunion will be met with a massive reaction.

Now, that doesn’t mean the singles run is gone. More than a few tag team specialists have won the big one. The sibling rivalry didn’t work; it went on too long, and this year should be a year where brothers move past their issues and make their family whole(ish) again.

Tiffany Stratton – Be Smart With Your Money

Tiffany Stratton is certainly hinting at a cash-in on her friend Nia Jax for her first world championship. Like so many people in the coming days, she should really decide on the best way to spend her Money in the Bank.

A feud with Jax is worth a few months of television time; cashing in on Liv Morgan ahead of WrestleMania could be a main event match in waiting. That should be her focus going into a big January for the WWE in general.

Although it shouldn’t happen, Rhea Ripley and Morgan are probably going to feud through the first third of the year. Stratton inserting herself into that feud, one that is clearly a high priority, is much more intelligent than attacking Jax.

That is safe, predictable, and likely not all that memorable. Getting a surprise move to Raw and feuding with more top stars is definitely a better investment for her time with the Money in the Bank briefcase.

Cody Rhodes – Focus on Self-Improvement

We all know that person who decides on the vague “self-improvement” resolution. There are hundreds of ways to improve, and doing a different one every day is just as viable as picking one and sticking to it. The New Year Resolutions for WWE Champion Cody Rhodes should be precisely that.

Despite being at the very top, his reign has been about others. Revenge against The Bloodline, helping Roman Reigns regain his post, defending Randy Orton’s honor. These are just a few of the sidequest stories he has had since winning the title.

The Rhodes heel-turn discourse is still premature but the sentiment has some merit. We know that Cody Rhodes is the champion, and his winning that title was the biggest story of the year. Heading into 2025, though, what is Cody’s purpose?

Yes, he is a fighting champion but the belt is secondary. Who is Rhodes’ great rival, the way that Roman and The Rock were before his big moment?

He needs to center himself and stop being so open to helping other people. That way, the stories he tells will be about him and not simply include him.

New Years Resolutions for WWE in 2025

More stars can elevate their year, and they should try to improve their weaknesses. Resolutions are about new beginnings, and WWE is undoubtedly going to be getting into one of those.

The Netflix era coincides with this new year, and that alone is going to be great motivation for everyone to find that next gear and improve themselves. Resolutions don’t always follow through, and that is a risk that could change the WWE promotion for the worse right as they hit the top of the mountain.
