WWE SmackDown Results (12/27/24)

The last episode of 2024 for WWE SmackDown capped off the year on the right note. From start to finish, Friday night fight night was firing on all cylinders. If you missed it, we will provide the full WWE SmackDown results. If you’re ready, let’s get right into it. Here’s everything that went down on SmackDown. Let’s run it down.

Full WWE SmackDown Results – 12/27/24:

    • At the beginning of the show, SmackDown GM Nick Aldis issued an ultimatum to Kevin Owens, telling him to give up the Winged-Eagle Championship by the end of the night. Later in the night, Owens would tweet out a video saying that he wanted to confront Nick Aldis one-on-one without any security or interference.
    • WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Naomi teamed up with Bayley to defeat the team of Ms. Money in the Bank Tiffany Stratton, Nia Jax, and Candice LeRae. Throughout the match, Jax and LeRae were freezing out Stratton, which ultimately led to their defeat, with Naomi rolling up Candice for the win. Before all this, Candice LeRae prevented a Tiffany Stratton cash-in.
    • Despite getting in big bursts of offense and interference from Grayson Waller, Austin Theory was mauled by Braun Strowman, hitting him with a Running Powerslam for the pinfall victory.
    • Chelsea Green’s United States Championship Celebration began as expected, with the inaugural champion stroking her ego in front of the WWE Universe. Unfortunately, Michin would spoil the party by battering Piper Niven with a Kendo Stick and Green high-tailing out of the ring.
    • After a backstage altercation, WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis ordered The Street Profits and Los Garza to settle their difference in the ring. This tag team match is quite possibly the “show-stealer” of the night, with both teams giving it their all. In the end, The Street Profits won with the Doomsday Blockbuster, leading to Montez Ford pinning Angel.
    • Earlier in the night, Sami Zayn and Carmelo Hayes got into it in Nick Aldis’ office, leading to the General Manager setting up this main event dream match. To nobody’s surprise, these two put on a match of a lifetime, pulling out every trick in their arsenal. Unfortunately, the contest ended abruptly. Hayes would exit the ring and wanted to escape from the match. But Braun Strowman would chase him in the back to bring him into the ring. But before Strowman could do so, The New Bloodline laid waste to Sami Zayn, effectively ending the match. Braun would come to Sami’s aid but was soon overwhelmed.
    • After the wreckage The New Bloodline caused, Kevin Owens would enter the scene to confront Nick Aldis, who was already present to break up the attack. Owens would not relinquish the title to Aldis, prompting Cody Rhodes to enter the fray. Owens and Rhodes exchanged harsh words, with Cody Rhodes challenging Kevin Owens for both the Winged-Eagle and Undisputed WWE Championship in a Ladder Match at WWE Royal Rumble 2025. The night ended with Owens cheapshotting Rhodes to his already injured neck.

What did you think of the final WWE SmackDown of 2024?
