The WWE Hall of Famer is back!

Trish Stratus posted on her social media accounts a short video hyping up her return. The video shows the Canadian legend pulling up in a Ferrari to the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, with Samantha Irvin announcing her in the background.

The caption for the video says “See you tomorrow Toronto.” with a link to Stratus’ website, where in an article, she confirmed that she is set to host Money in the Bank.

Stratus Competed At Last Year’s Money in the Bank

Just one year ago, Stratus appeared in a different capacity at Money in the Bank: as a competitor in the ladder match.

After winning by disqualification in a qualifying match against Raquel Rodriguez, she earned her shot at the Premium Live Event.

With her protégé Zoey Stark by her side, Stratus entered her first Money in the Bank match. This stipulation was unfortunately not given to the women during her tenure in WWE. However, IYO Sky was the one who walked away with the briefcase that night.

Is Stratus Retired?

Last time we saw Trish Stratus, it was in September at WWE Payback against Becky Lynch. The two settled their rivalry in a hard fought Steel Cage match, which Lynch ultimately won.

After the match, Stratus slapped Zoey Stark across the face but the rookie did not take the disrespect. Stark hit her with the Z-360 to end their alliance and send her back into retirement.

Or is she retired?

With wrestling, no one truly retires. Stratus retired for the first time in 2006 at WWE Unforgiven against Lita in a Women’s Championship match. However, the Fall of Famer has returned for over two dozen matches since then.

The most notable matches since her retirement include entering number 30 in the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match, teaming with Lita at Evolution, “retiring” against Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam in 2019, and the Steel Cage match against Lynch.

WWE.com still lists Stratus in the Current Superstars section, as well.

Could Money in the Bank be only the start of her return?
