WWE Raw Match Card (5/28/24)

  • WWE Women’s World Championship Steel Cage Match: Liv Morgan vs. Becky Lynch
  • Braun Strowman vs. JD McDonagh

Lynch To Revoke Her Rematch Clause

Liv Morgan defeated Becky Lynch at WWE King & Queen of the Ring to win the WWE Women’s World Championship. The victory came in part due to an interference by Dominik Mysterio.

It’s unclear if Mysterio was looking to aid Lynch or Morgan. Morgan left Saudi Arabia delighted to finally be champion and to have completed her ‘Liv Morgan Revenge Tour’.

Lynch left fuming. She told Byron Saxton backstage that she was revoking her rematch clause and would be demanding WWE Raw GM Adam Pearce grant her a match tonight.

Pearce was happy to oblige but booked the match inside a steel cage. But can we expect another “dirty” finish?

Strowman vs. McDonagh

Braun Strowman hasn’t had a match since returning to WWE. Last week, he interfered in the WWE World Tag Team Championship match to help The Awesome Truth defeat The Judgement Day.

JD McDonagh has demanded a match with Strowman in retaliation. He’ll get his wish tonight. Strowman doesn’t seem fazed by the challenge. But even if The Awesome Truth repay the favor and back him up the numbers could be stacked against them if The Judgement Day can put on a united front.

Gunther’s Coronation

Gunther will want an official coronation on WWE Raw after winning the King of the Ring tournament this past weekend. However, Randy Orton’s shoulder was about a foot off the canvas when referee Dan Engler counted to three. As a result, Randy Orton may want answers to questions Gunther won’t want people to ask.

What Else?

Chad Gable will want to know if Otis meant to clothesline him out of the WWE Intercontinental Championship match on Saturday.

Drew McIntyre now knows he will get his shot at Damian Priest and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in his home country Scotland next month. We can expect to see their feud really heat up now.
