Preview: Pro Wrestling NOAH – NOAH Sunny Voyage (5/18/24)

A match graphic for wrestling event NOAH Sunny Voyage.

Pro Wrestling NOAH returns on May 18th, streaming via wrestleUNIVERSE with a special card from the famous Yokohama Radiant Hall headlined by former GHC Heavyweight Champion Go Shiozaki in singles action against NJPW and semi-regular NOAH competitor Ryohei Oiwa.

This will serve as a prelude to the Korakuen Hall doubleheader later in the month (“NOAH Star Navigation” on 5/21 & 5/22), with the Wednesday show being headlined by Kenoh vs. Minoru Suzuki.

The promotion is currently in a good place following its successful “Wrestle Magic” PPV earlier this month, during which Kaito Kiyomiya regained the GHC Heavyweight Championship.

Let’s get to this lineup regarding the NOAH show on May 18th from Kanagawa, Japan:

  • Go Shiozaki will face semi-regular NOAH stalwart Ryohei Oiwa in the main event; the TEAM NOAH leader will be looking to gain momentum in singles matches ahead of his ZERO 1 World Championship Match against fellow faction member Akitoshi Saito at the end of this month (5.29 – “NOAH LIMIT BREAK 2” ).
  • The produce shows from Team NOAH have been some of the best in-ring presentations from Pro Wrestling NOAH, and we fully expect the trend to continue this month heading into May 29th.
  • GHC Heavyweight Champion Kaito Kiyomiya & Alejandro of the newly formed ALL REBELLION faction will face Ulka Sasaki & Yu Owada in a tag team match on the undercard.
  • One-half of the reigning GHC Jr. Heavyweight Tag team Champions, YO-HEY, faces Atsushi Kotoge in a singles match on the undercard.
  • Good Looking Guys (Jake Lee, Jack Morris & Anthony Greene) vs. the team of Takashi Sugiura, Masa Kitamiya & Daiki Inaba in a trios match on the undercard.
  • Shuji Kondo will team alongside a returning Eita to face Junta Miyawaki & Starboy Charlie in a tag team match on the undercard.
  • One-half of the GHC Jr. Heavyweight Tag team Champions, Tadasuke, will face Hi69 in the opening match to kick off the Sunny Voyage broadcast in Yokohama.

This show will lead as a start of live-streamed shows for NOAH during May 18th, 21st, 22nd, 26th & 29th via wrestleUNIVERSE.
