Preview: WWE NXT (4/9/24) – Stand And Deliver Fallout

This week’s episode of WWE NXT is the Stand and Deliver fallout. For the most part, the event is going to be focusing on the way forward though. The next major event on the NXT calendar is the Battleground event, which is set to take place on June 9 – just two months away.

That event is set to take place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas. In addition to that, the NXT superstars will begin their respective campaigns to see a move-up as the 2024 Draft dates have been set, and NXT superstars are also in play. Here is all you need to know ahead of the April 9 edition of NXT.

Enter The Trick Williams Era

Trick Williams successfully defeated his former friend Carmelo Hayes in the main event of Stand and Deliver. The victory at the event symbolized the beginning of the Williams era beyond ‘Trick Melo Gang’.

Hayes could still be lingering but, for the most part, Williams now gets to explore all his possibilities beyond his former friendship. Williams has held the NXT North American Championship but has made it clear that he has aspirations of getting the main NXT Championship, and this could be the beginning of his campaign toward that.

NXT Women’s North American Championship Future

At Stand and Deliver, NXT General Manager Ava introduced the NXT Women’s North American Championship. This title will serve as the NXT women’s secondary title, and it can be expected that more information will be revealed on the April 9 edition of NXT.

Things to expect will be whether there will be a tournament to crown the inaugural champion and, if there will be one, when it will be contested. Also, expect several superstars on the NXT women’s roster to verbally claim a shot at the new gold.

NXT In The WWE Draft 2024

The 2024 WWE Draft has been confirmed for the April 26 SmackDown and the April 29 Raw. As has been the case in previous years, superstars of the NXT roster will also be in play for the draft, with NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov already confirmed to be eligible for a draft.

With several NXT superstars looking to move up to the main roster, it can be expected that they will look to showcase the best of their talents to maximize their chances of being chosen for the main roster.
