This week’s episode of WWE NXT is a special edition titled Roadblock. The event has been exclusive to NXT since 2022, and this can be expected to further stories heading to NXT Stand & Deliver during WrestleMania weekend. Here is all you need to know ahead of the March 5 edition of NXT.

- The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) (c) vs. Lyra Valkyria & Tatum Paxley – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match
- Bron Breakker & Baron Corbin (c) vs. Chase University (Andre Chase & Duke Hudson) – NXT Tag Team Championship Match
- Dijak vs. Joe Gacy – Asylum Match
- Carmelo Hayes vs. Tony D’Angelo – Singles Match to determine NXT Championship number one contender
- Shawn Spears vs. TBC – Singles Match
Shawn Spears Makes His In-Ring Debut
Shawn Spears made his return to the WWE on the February 27 edition of NXT. Spears was previously with the WWE from 2013 until 2019 but was more recently with AEW between 2019 and 2023, on the previous week.
Spears returned to NXT by attacking Ridge Holland. Following that, Spears is now set to have his first match since getting back into the promotion. Although it is yet to be confirmed who the opponent will be, this will be a fight with lots of eyes on it.
The Kabuki Warriors Defend Gold Against Lyra Valkyria And Tatum Paxley
NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria and Tatum Paxley‘s awkward friendship continues to grow, and at this year’s Roadblock special episode, the pair could take it to a whole new level. Valkyria has spoken to the powers that be (General Manager Ava) and they get to challenge for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
At present, that title is held by Asuka and Kairi Sane, which adds to Damage CTRL‘s camp.
Just only approaching 40 days as champions in their second reign, The Kabuki Warriors look to replicate their former success, which saw them become the longest-reigning titleholders at 180 recognized days. Valkyria is only fulfilling a promise but could this be what finally pushes the pair into a true friendship?
Dijak And Joe Gacy Meet In Asylum Match
Dijak and Joe Gacy‘s rivalry is a long-standing one that continues to add new chapters to the story. Following their previous encounters, the pair will now meet in an Asylum match. There have only been three prior Asylum matches, with one of them taking place on the NXT brand. It seems to be fitting that the next chapter in the Dijak and Gacy story will be the most extreme one yet, as the two look to end the rivalry with their hand raised high.
