Is Logan Paul the Greatest Celebrity in WWE History?

A photo of Logan Paul winning the WWE United States Championship at Crown Jewel.

Logan Paul made history at Crown Jewel. In the vast history of WWE, there has never been a time when the company put a championship on a celebrity; honorary ones do not count. It was a huge accomplishment for the creator of Prime. He worked his butt off to get to this point and has pushed himself into the conversation of the best celebrity to step foot into WWE.

Making the Case for Logan Paul

Since the first WrestleWania, there have been a sloth of celebrities making appearances in WWE, but after Crown Jewel, there should be no question about who the best is. Logan Paul has been fantastic since he debuted in WWE. There is a stigma with celebrities that they either don’t care much about the product and/or are terrible in the ring; Paul has been neither of these.

Logan Paul has been involved in 8 matches since his debut, and none of them have been bad. He has matched up well against high-flyers like Rey and Dominik Mysterio and more technical wrestlers like The Miz and Seth Rollins. He has even been able to come across as a legitimate threat to Roman Reigns’ historic championship run.

Rising to the Occasion

It has been astonishing how well Logan Paul has adapted to wrestling, given that he had no prior training. You can tell that he has worked to get better, and it shows. Comparing him to any other celebrity who has performed in the ring is not a fair comparison. Paul looks like he belongs in the ring and has been rewarded for that by being given a run with the United States Championship.

Outside of the ring, Paul has also proven himself to be great. He has shown an impressive range as he has played both the heel and face role, respectively. This type of work is not something that we are used to seeing with celebrities. For the most part, they play themselves and are rigid in their interactions with others. Paul understands how to work with the roster and create memorable moments. It is a reason why the company keeps him around.

A Prime Difference-maker

What also sets him apart from other celebrities is that he gets professional wrestling. Most of the time, celebrities are there to plug their own thing and rarely take the show seriously. It is not something that the more passionate wrestling fan can stand. Logan Paul is the antithesis of that celebrity malaise. He is passionate about what he does, and he brings that energy to everything he does. It is great to see someone from the mainstream treat wrestling like a big deal.

Logan Paul has become a staple of WWE programming. He has stuck around for a few years now and has had meaningful feuds with WWE’s elite. He has worked some great matches and main eventing PPV’s. It has gotten to the point that he considered a wrestler before a celebrity. No one can say this for any other celebrity in WWE history. Yes, there have been some that are serviceable in the ring, but none can say they have accomplished what Logan Paul has. He is by far the best celebrity to become involved with WWE.
