This week’s episode of WWE NXT is quite the loaded card. Main roster talent will find their way to the WWE Performance Center, adding to this star-studded card. More can certainly be expected from this special edition of NXT but there are some major stories to know about heading into the event. Here is all you need to know ahead of the October 10 edition of NXT.

Carmelo Hayes And Bron Breakker Get Advice From The Best In The Game
Carmelo Hayes is the former NXT Champion but, finding himself readjusting to not having the gold, he goes up against a familiar foe who has been down the same road. Former champion, Bron Breakker, seemingly offered an olive branch to Hayes but the two instead ended up opting to renew their rivalry.
The two are set to meet in singles action in what could be assumed as the main event for the October 10 edition of NXT. Although this match does not involve the NXT Championship (or any other championship), the rivalry between Hayes and Breakker started because of titles.
As intense as ever, Hayes and Breakker will once again meet in battle but, this time, the playing field is a bit different. Fellow Massachusetts native, John Cena, will be in Hayes’ corner to advise and guide the recently dethroned champion as he navigates a post-championship career.
With the intention to level the playing field, The Bloodline‘s Special Counsel Paul Heyman received authorization to be in Breakker’s corner, imparting wisdom and guidance of his own. This will be an intense reawakening of a classic feud as Hayes and Breakker clash once more.
Is Roxanne Perez Ready For Asuka?
Roxanne Perez is set to face her greatest challenge yet in Asuka. The ‘Empress of Tomorrow’ is widely regarded as one of the most dominant (if not the undeniable greatest) NXT Women’s Champions of all time. Asuka makes her way down to the WWE Performance Center once again, this time to test the rising talent that is Perez.
A former NXT Champion in her own right, Perez finds herself standing across a major test. This match is a battle between two eras of the NXT women’s division, and it could be an exciting showcase and standout match.
Cody Rhodes’ Major Announcement
One-half of the newly-minted Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions will be in attendance at the October 10 NXT. Cody Rhodes has strong ties to NXT through his father, the late Dusty Rhodes.
On October 10, he will also be in attendance at NXT but, as opposed to being involved in a match, ‘The American Nightmare’ is said to have a major announcement. There is already discourse about what the announcement could be but, with Rhodes remaining tight-lipped, the announcement could really be anything. This is certainly an announcement that fans will not want to miss.
