Indi Hartwell Wins NXT Women’s Championship

In the opening match of NXT Stand and Deliver, we saw Roxanne Perez defend the NXT Women’s Championship against Lyria Valkyria, Tiffany Stratton, Gigi Dolan, Zoey Stark and Indi Hartwell in a ladder match.

Indi Hartwell Captures NXT Title

After a tough bout that had many spots, the interference of Jacy Jayne, a scary ladder spot with Stratton taking a massive fall landing on her lower back. It was Indi Hartwell with a small assist from her “husband” Dexter Lumis who won her first NXT Women’s Championship.

Hartwell, signing to WWE back in 2019, has been a fixture of the NXT Women’s Division since her arrival. As a member of “The Way” faction, Hartwell would receive her first chance of gold teaming with Candice LeRae defeating Zoey Stark and Iyo Sky (Io Shirai). This championship win is her first singles championship in WWE, however, she has been a champion for the likes of Newcastle Pro Wrestling, Riot City Wrestling, Battle Championship Wrestling and World Series Wrestling holding the top prize of each company.

Indi Hartwell is the second-ever Australian-born NXT Women’s Champion (with Rhea Ripley being the first). She is now one of the small few wrestlers to hold both the NXT Women’s and Women’s Tag Team Championship.
