Cashing In

Bryan Danielson has withstood everything MJF has thrown at him, thus far, in his bid to face “The Salt of the Earth” in an Iron Man Match for the AEW World Championship. First, it was the Japanese sensation Konosuke Takeshita that stood in Danielson’s way, taking the Blackpool Combat Club member to the absolute limit. Fortunately for Bryan, he walked away from that bout the victor.

That said, the next opponent that MJF threw at Danielson wasn’t a slouch either, as former Ring of Honor World Champion Bandido was mere seconds away from notching a win over Danielson. Again, Bryan Danielson escaped that match victorious. However, it clearly took a lot out of the would-be challenger.

There really is no rest for the wicked as the AEW World Champion enlists the help of another hired gun in “The Machine” Brian Cage. MJF gave Cage and Prince Nana “extra motivation” on last week’s Dynamite and made it abundantly clear that he wants Bryan Danielson finished once and for all this Wednesday night.

You never question the heart of a champion. But, at this pace, how long can Danielson last? Will he find a way to bag the win once again or will Brian Cage end his dreams of challenging for the AEW World Title?

Stepping Into the Darkness

Speaking of competitors taking on one and all, TNT Champion Darby Allin is defending the prized gold at a break-neck speed. It hasn’t even been a month since he won the title back for the second time in his hometown of Seattle, Washington. And yet, he’s taken on the best of the best over the past few weeks.

In the recent edition of Dynamite, Allin went move for move with one of the absolute finest the professional wrestling industry has to offer in Junior Heavyweight icon KUSHIDA. The two went to war with Darby Allin nabbing the W, but at the expense of his own body. Allin didn’t waste time trying to nurse his injuries and challenge Buddy Matthews of the “House of Black” on last week’s Rampage.

Buddy Matthews is one of the most fierce and dangerous competitors AEW has in their locker room, and Darby Allin might be digging himself a hole he can’t easily get out of. That said, Allin has showcased time and again how he rises to the occasion when the bright lights are on. So, expect nothing less than competitive and brutal affair between these two combatants.

It’s Darby Allin versus Buddy Matthews for the TNT Championship. And, it all goes down this Wednesday night on TBS on this AEW Dynamite card!
